Meet the blokes behind

museum makers

A team born from a passion for nature and history

Developed from a time-honoured line of museum preparators, technicians and
tradespeople, Dean and Ewin expertly combine traditional and current methods to support museums, science, conservation and education institutions, visitor centres, artists and individuals.

We produce your items in our fully equipped studio workshop, with an extensive toolkit and experienced hand we will install on-site. Ask Museum Makers to support your next project.

Ewin Wood

Be it building scale models of insects, painting detailed plant mimics, restoring a room full of bird mounts, or articulating dinosaurs, Ewin Wood applies his trade in a tribute to our natural world.

An early career working as a preparator for the Museum of Victoria, he developed his craft in exhibition production involving rich collaborations with curators, scientists, designers, carpenters and technicians.

Ewin established his business, Natural History Productions, in 2008, managing large exhibition
projects and one-off items. He supplies a broad clientele with a myriad of museum quality natural history displays and exhibits.
